The Call for Presentations for "Expanding the Horizons of Healthcare"
at the AHCA Seminar 2019 is now closed.

 
 
 

Please consider submitting your presentation for the AHCA Seminar in 2020. We will be back! The educational sessions will fall into one of the categories below.

Main Speaker Sessions: Topics should be general enough to be of interest to all disciplines such as latest trends in design and construction, or unique examples of specific issues and how they were solved.

Architecture Breakaway Sessions: These sessions concentrate on issues that are focused on the architectural design of the facility to include fire safety and patient safety issues, specification details, accessibility issues and other issues important to the architectural design of the facility.

Mechanical Engineering Breakaway Sessions: Topics in these sessions should relate to the design, installation and maintenance of medical gas systems, sprinkler systems, HVAC systems, and other systems important to mechanical engineering.

Electrical Engineering Breakaway Sessions: Topics in these sessions should relate to the design, installation and maintenance of lightning protection systems, emergency electrical systems, fire alarm systems, and other systems important to electrical engineering.

Facility Engineering Breakaway Sessions: Topics in these sessions should relate to the installation and maintenance of systems that are necessary to the operation of a health care facility and to the management of those systems. Other areas of interest include project management, and systems for the timely and economical delivery of projects.

Fire Safety Breakaway Sessions: These sessions will focus on the code requirements for fire safety issues such as fire barrier construction, through wall penetrations, testing and maintenance of fire protection equipment such as fire pumps and the fire rating of doors and openings.
